Is it Limoges or not - either way it is beautiful
So before I even begin to describe this set - I have to say the backstamp is one I have only ever found once. It was I thought glazed stamp/painted and not stick-on labels, but the backstamp I found says it is an overstamp. Therefore the question is - is it Limoges France? But then there are so many 'Limoges' who knows - I am still on a quest to find a set like it. The best I have done so far is to shine a torch behind it, which reveals there is another stamp behind it - but I can't read it - the next step is probably to try and scratch one of them off! The next question then is it Bone China or Porcelain as Limoges is usually porcelain - this set is definitely translucent.
The set consists of a Cake Plate (29cm) with handles, 4 x Tea plates, 4 x Tea Cups and Saucers. They are all in remarkably good condition with a bit of wear to the gilding. The pattern is of flowers and what looks a bit like something off a coat of arms.
Please take a good look at the pictures as they form part of the description, and bear in mind that they are second hand so will not be perfect. If you have any questions, like to see more photos or come and see them, then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Born from the vision of two people, two worlds, two cultures in the 1950s, so I am taking their vision and running with it. I have this website and premises so thought 'why not?'
Antique, Old, Traditional, Aged, Vintage, Dated, Period, Historical, Retro, Pre-loved - they are all words to describe what? Nowadays too many items are defined as something they're not, so as we were told if you find something you like or mayhap even love, then buy it. Your choice - it's too late when they’re gone.
Please browse this part of my website, but note I have so much more at my premises, if you would like to visit then please do not hesitate to Contact Becci.
Most items in this section are pre-loved so will have some wear in one form or another. Many have never been used ‘new’ but I have had them a while. All the items and their conditions have been described as accurately as possible. The photographs are part of those descriptions.
Please keep coming back as most of the items are from my own family collections and I have so much which needs to be parted with. it will take a while for me to put them all on here. Why not come and see them?
I am open to sensible offers.
